Air Museum Open Day: HARS Aviation Museum

The Historical Aircraft Restoration Society Aviation Museum (HARS) holds open days showing off some of the unique aircraft held at its headquarters at the Illawarra Regional Airport at Albion Park. HARS is now home to the 747-438 "Longreach" Qantas Passenger Jet, which will be part of the permanent static display at the museum. The open days will be held outside the HARS hangars and will involve the static display of some its distinctive aircraft. Members of the public will be able to board and sit in some of the aircraft including the cockpits of aircraft including F-111C fighter bomber and Neptune submarine hunter. Sydney Microlight Centre is Sydney's closest approved microlight training facility. Located at Illawarra Regional Airport, Albion Park Rail, just over an hour's drive south of Sydney at the end of the M1 Princes Mototorway. The Illawarra region is the perfect environment in which to learn to fly. The stunning scenery, beaches, Lake Illawarra and the escarpment as a backdrop are some of the most beautiful views in Australia.
