'Objects in Space: Artists in the Garden' features leading artists alongside local craft workers and artisans in an exhibition that unfolds across several domains within Auburn Botanic Gardens - a unique green space environment located just 18 kilometres west of Sydney’s CBD.
Drawing on ideas of the inside and out, artworks are positioned in the park’s Japanese gardens as well as recreating the botanical within Peacock Gallery’s exhibition spaces – itself a former fernery in the gardens.
The exhibition presents ceramics, sculpture, photographs, knitting and further mixed media. Enthusiasts of both contemporary art and traditional gardens will enjoy exploring the rich, subtle and detailed works on show.
