Barefoot Springs rests high up on a plateau on Cambewarra Mountain, where you can feel the fresh mountain air, and enjoy the panoramic views across the river, ocean and mountains.
The 16 hectare property has two hectares of garden, spectacular rainforest with waterfalls and creeks, a small Angus herd, hens, garlic and cut flowers such as lilies, chincherinchees, protea and leucadendron. There is also a resident wombat population and prolific birdlife including lyrebirds, parrots and blue wrens.
Take time to view the flora and fauna in the ancient rainforest looking out from the "fernery" veranda at Red Dog Retreat. The romantic double bedroom has an en suite spa bathroom and French doors that open to catch the summer mountain breeze. A comfortable sitting room with a pot belly wood burning stove for cosy, relaxing evenings.
Both cottages have a full kitchen if you wish to eat in.
