Situated on the upper reaches of the Clyde River, this area is surrounded by the Boyne, South Brooman and Shallow Crossing State Forests and is a haven for fishermen, bushwalkers, four wheel drivers and anyone who wants to enjoy the peace and quiet of the bush.
Shallow Crossing can be accessed from the Princes Highway at East Lynne or from the Kings Highway at Nelligen. Either way involves travel along well formed dirt roads suitable for all vehicles.
Access from the east requires crossing a ford, which can be affected by king tides/high rainfall.

The Woodburn-Evans Head and District Orchid and Foliage Society will again host the popular annual Woodburn Orchid Show, the biggest of its kind on the Northern Rivers. Friday and Saturday from 8am-4pm and Sunday 8am -2pm. The three-day Show draws orchid lovers from across the State, as well as from Queensland, to view the exquisite 400 plus orchids on display. It is also a great opportunity to pick up a bargain on the hundreds of propagated items available. The Show is held in the Woodburn Hall.

Timbertops maintains a stable of 30 horses of all sizes to cater for people with varying degrees of ability from beginners to competent riders, children and adults.
They offer one and two hour trail rides. These rides take you through beautiful state forest bushland.
Tuition is also available for beginners.
Timbertops is located in the small timber settlement of Termeil on the South Coast of New South Wales, only 20 kilometres south of Ulladulla (first gate on the left over Reedy Creek Bridge) and 32 kilometres north of Batemans Bay (first gate on right approximately 200 metres past the Termeil shop and service station).

Located on the Pacific Highway, parking is available right outside the Visitor Centre’s door. The neighbouring public toilets are open 24 hours, and free barbecues and rotundas are spread throughout the river park. A public jetty and boat ramp are within a stone’s throw of the centre for boating enthusiasts....
Woodburn, known as "The Travellers' Rest" is a delightful and peaceful town situated next to the Richmond River on the Pacific Highway.
