The Lambing Flat Chinese Tribute Gardens are located at the Chinaman's Dam reserve just four kilometres from the town centre. Now a well established garden set in a quiet, relaxing and picturesque site, the gardens are the perfect spot for a relaxing morning or afternoon with picnic facilities and barbecues. After crossing the bridge to the garden and passing the marble lion sculptures guarding the garden entrance, make your way to the garden viewing platform and sit and relax overlooking the garden and the Pool of Tranquillity. Enjoy the magnificent views over the vineyard while tasting the range at award winnig Grove Estate Wines. Located in the beautiful Hilltops Region four kilometres from Young, Grove Estate have quietly built an international following for their wines, which include both traditional reds and whites and some interesting Italian varietals. The extraordinary partnership of viticulturalist Brian Mullany with winemakers Tim Kirk and Bryan Martin has resulted in a run of notable wines that have produced exciting results at many Wine Shows across Australia and internationally. The Flanders, Kirkwood and Mullany families established the Grove Estate vineyard in 1989. The property was purchased to produce premium cool climate wine grapes on its red volcanic red soils at 530 metres above sea level. Since 1989, over 50 hectares of vines have been planted on the property, including the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Zinfandel, Barbera, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Semillon and Nebbiolo....

Bluestill Distillery

The Bluestill's endeavor began roughly 15 years ago as a collaborative trial and error process. Now, with over a decade of distilling experience and a product range second to none, Bluestill can proudly lay claim to a unique range of hand crafted all Australian made spirits. These include James Bentley Whisky, Black Widow Bourbon, Double Up Vodka, Red Kelpie Rum, Trafalgar Gin, Chiapas Tequila, Young Drop Grappa, Ouzo, Cherry Port, and other wines and liqueurs. All of the Bluestill range is bottled on site, with product tasting available. The site was formally JD's Jam Factory (on the hill) and is situated on the Grenfell Road. The old factory has been recreated into a space that now showcases a vast variety of local creative talent. Enjoy the venue which boasts one of the best views over the Young township while you sit and enjoy morning or afternoon tea. Bus groups are also welcome - there is ample parking for cars, vans and buses. Bluestill also offers great coffee and there is even a children's play area.
