The Rathdowney Visitor Information Centre is located on the Mt Lindesay Highway in Rathdowney. This accredited visitor information centre offers a one stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures, and itineraries. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, the Rathdowney Visitor Information Centre can provide advice on the things to see, things to do and where to eat. Discuss with the friendly staff your travel plans. The Rathdowney Museum was opened in November 1984. Volunteers from the surrounding districts have put our collection together. There are many displays of artefacts, pictorial displays and historical records of events and family histories. Over the years,an extensive collection of historical buildings from the district have been added. ...
