Housed in a landmark heritage building the Cairns Regional Gallery is the region's premier destination for exhibitions featuring historical and contemporary art by leading regional, national and international artists. The Gallery also presents exhibitions highlighting key works and themes from the permanent collection that focus on the unique cultural heritage of Far North Queensland.
Throughout the year the Gallery presents a range of creative learning programs for audiences of diverse ages and backgrounds including art classes, talks and events that relate to exhibitions and the permanent collection.

Come along and enjoy the Caloundra Country Markets every Sunday from 7.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. Caloundra Country Markets are managed by Dicky Beach Surf Life Saving Club and are held at Central Park, Caloundra. Main entrance in Arthur Street between swimming pool and Rugby Union fields, top entrance via Bower Street.
As you enter Maleny you will find the MALENY SUNDAY MARKET on the left opposite the pub, in and outside the RSL Hall. We are there EVERY SUNDAY 8-2pm. Our market has 30+ stalls. The Valley Markets are best known for their original, locally designed and made creations. The city's young and very talented designers use these markets as an outlet for their chic designs. The all-weekend event runs through both Brunswick Street and Chinatown Mall, offering over 70 stalls of new and second hand goods. The Valley Markets are a firm favourite for vintage and local designer apparel and much more. Chinatown's contribution reflects Asian kitsch, clothing and world religious icons. Massages are also for sale as well as the occasional fortune reading. One of Brisbane's biggest exports, fashionistas Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke, known for their label Sass & Bide, started selling their wares at the Valley Markets before hitting it big in London. A trip to the Valley markets is not complete without experiencing the yum-cha, cafes and eateries along the malls.
The Nikenbah Markets are held at the Hervey Bay Animal Refuge on the first and third Sundays of each month. Items for sale at these very popular Markets include arts and crafts, fresh produce, trash and treasure, cakes and jams and much more. The Nikenbah Markets are held to raise much need funds to care for the animals at the Hervey Bay Animal Refuge.

The Heritage City of Maryborough comes alive on market day, every Thursday, with stalls lining Adelaide and Ellena Streets in the Central Business District. The shopping experience begins at 8.00 a.m. with fresh home grown fruit and vegetables, plants of all varieties, home made craft available. The central location of this market means that you also have the opportunity to browse the retail shops nearby. Every month the markets are themed for the public's entertainment, with various activities taking place on the Town Hall grounds. You can experience a train trip on the Mary Ann which operates every Thursday. Don't miss the firing of the time cannon by the Town Crier and Mary Heritage in Adelaide Street at 1.00 p.m. The atmosphere is vibrant, with plenty to see and do. Looking forward to seeing you there!
