QLD Tourism welcomes Herberton Historic Village in Cairns, for all your attraction and things to do, book your adventure today.
Live the folklore and romance of yesterday’s Australia in every piece of the eye-opening collection at Herberton Historic Village, and entire village of shops and stores recreated as they were over 100 years ago. Sit in the old schoolhouse. Stand at the bar of the antique pub. Enjoy a cuppa or a latte in the Bakerville Tearooms.
The award-winning Herberton Historic Village is more than a vintage precinct – it’s a tangible buzz of things past. The collection currently features over 50 original buildings with intact interior displays, original machinery and vehicles, plus thousands of antique items and period memorabilia. It is regarded as the most significant ever assembled in Queensland, and offers unlimited opportunities for amazing photography.
Today, the Village is a philanthropic project by and Australian couple, Connie and Craig Kimberley, whose passion has restored it to the rightful place in heritage history. Herberton Historic Village is located just outside the township of Herberton high on the Atherton Tablelands, about 90 minutes drive from Cairns. Bring your camera, photography is encouraged.
