About 2-Day Moreton Island Tour From Brisbane Or Gold Coast With Optional Nighttime Kayaking

Book Direct with the Owner at 2-Day Moreton Island Tour From Brisbane Or Gold Coast With Optional Nighttime Kayaking with QLD Tourism in Brisbane, for all your Attraction and travel needs.

Itinerary

Day 1: Adventure on the Island

Stop At: Moreton Island, Moreton Island, Brisbane Region, Queensland
After pickup travel with your guide on the ferry across Moreton Bay. Capture picturesque views, and enjoy cafe and bar amenities on board, if you wish (own expense).

When you arrive on the island, start your day of outdoor activities. Check out the Tangalooma Wrecks, which were intentionally formed from 15 old ships as a breakwater to create a safe diving spot. Head into the bay on a guided snorkeling tour to see spiny corals, dolphins, tropical reef fish and up to six species of sea turtles. Then share your stories of your underwater adventure over a picnic lunch on the beach.

After lunch, explore the wonders of the reef around the Tangalooma Wrecks in a transparent kayak. With your guide, admire an awesome array of fish as they whiz under the see-through bottom of your kayak. Next, continue your island fun inland with a wild sandboarding ride down the sand dunes at speeds up to 44 mph (70 kph). Watch the sunset over Moreton Bay.

Optional Night Time kayaking available

Duration: 2 days

Meals included:
• Lunch
• Dinner
Accommodation included: ECO Lodge Backpacker Stay

Day 2: Explore the Island

Stop At: Moreton Island, Moreton Island, Brisbane Region, Queensland
Following breakfast, explore the island on a tour by 4WD vehicle. Visit pristine Eastern Surf Beach, and check out the effervescent Champagne Pools. Continue to enchanting Honeymoon Bay and North Point, and capture panoramic views of Moreton Island's vibrant blue waters. Then it’s onward to Cape Moreton, where you’ll see Queensland’s oldest lighthouse. From atop this lookout, watch for sea life such as manta rays, sharks and maybe even humpback whales (best seen May to November).

Enjoy lunch amid this beautiful scenery, and then stop at Blue Lagoon for a freshwater swim. Finally, take a drive through the bushland, with plenty more beach views, as you head back to the ferry for the air-conditioned cruise back to Brisbane or the Gold Coast, where your 2-day tour ends.

Great time 4WD trucking around Moreton Island with our tour guide Rhett! He was very knowledgeable and friendly, even played guitar for us around the campfire. Snorkelling the wrecks was amazing, and unfortunately it rained a bit but we still had a lot of fun

Crazy not to go!!! Most amazing 2 days on Moreton with our guide Chris. Could not believe the inclusions with the desert sand boarding and night time Kayaking with the led lights being the highlight. Meals included were amazing and never did we feel hungry or unsure of the days plan. Very happy with the tour and would go again for sure. Thank you again Chris and the gang for a memorable long weekend.

Lee was a great informative guide allowing us to learn a lot of history and taking us to some beautiful viewpoints and see lovely views and beaches. The food for lunch was plentiful and lovely with a selection of salads.

This package is the highlight of our holiday in Brisbane. The night kayaking is a MUST if you want to see the corals at night - with a totally different biodiversity as compared to daytime. The see through kayaks allows a clear view to the corals and the fishes at night. The 4WD bus was a thrill ride Alan led the sightseeing tour - excellent commentary and explanation of the biodiversity and landscape of the island. Sumptuous safari styled lunch Bones & Isiah took over after that and we were served dinner (first class!) and after that - the unforgettable night time kayak. Lucky for us - we were in a small group - and we get full the attention of our guide, Isiah - where he pointed out the different creatures that come out at night among the corals. Kudos to Alan, Bones, Isiah, Nat and the rest of the gang! The trip is definitely much more enjoyable when we were led by guides that truly enjoy what they are doing.

my friend and i joined the 2 day tour, and it was amazing. it was the first time we ever came to a sand island. the view is stunning, and the activities are great. we enjoyed the snorkeling a lot, almost half an hour in the ocean. the sand sliding and kayak were great too. special thanks to Natasha, she is so nice and gentle to introduce things to us which made our trip very memorable!! why u should stay one night on the island? its because the sunset is wonderful!!!! u would love it!!! and although we sleep in bunk bed but the dinner prepared by Dave was great!!

Went to my first Moreton Island trip with a bunch of friends and left with so much love and memories. The sand Island is near pristine with crystal clear water and beautiful native trees. We had a chill first day on a 4WD around the island, very aussie experience, driven by our funny tour guide Grant who so happen to be an amazing cook as well! Gotta say meals prepared throughout the trip were surprisingly good. The bunk we stayed at was just a short walk to the beach, watching the sunset and stargazing on the beach was magical. Second day was the fun stuff, sandboarding (so blown away by the vast dessert!), snorkelling among fishes and kayaking around the shipwrecks. All of us agreed that this trip was remarkable. Shoutout to our super lovely guides Grant & Natasha for taking great care of us and definitely made this trip much more enjoyable & memorable, Thank you! I truely hope anyone visiting the island would continue to protect this gem, keep it clean with care & love.
